Engine hours and reminders

Update engine hours and set hour-based reminders.

Vessly does not read the engine; you type the hours. Everything hour-based counts down from your latest reading.

Takes about 3 minutes iOS and Android

Steps

  1. Update hours from the dashboard

Tap the engine-hours counter on the dashboard and enter the new reading. Hours can only go up; a lower number is refused so a typo cannot move your tasks.

  2. Check the engine-hours screen

Engine hours and history shows the total, this season, the monthly average and a forecast: at your recent pace, the next service lands around a date.

  3. Create a task by hours

In Maintenance tap New task, set Task type to Engine hours, then either Every N hours for a repeating job or At engine hours for a one-off target above the current reading.

  4. Or combine hours and date

Pick Both to have the task come due every N hours or every N months, whichever comes first. Typical for oil changes and impellers.

  5. Let the reminder find you

The nearest task sits in Due next on the dashboard, and a notification arrives when it is due. Mark it done from the task and the next cycle starts from your hours.
